Why Barefootball?
The promise of opportunity and economic benefit for all is soon forgotten in the contageous excitement of Africa’s 2010 World Cup of Soccer. The Barefootball initiative aims to bring opportunity and environmental benefit to the Westlake community on the outskirts of Cape Town. The drive to sell Barefootballs through corporate business and retail in South Africa, and internationally though the Barefootball web site, will generate income for the ball makers and provide funds to establish sustainable projects to the benefit of the community as a whole.
